National Portuguese Examination

GENERAL INFORMATION

The National Portuguese Exam (NPE) is an online test that engages students in achievement (what a student knows) and performance (what a student is able to do).  The NPE is intended for high school students of Portuguese.

The NPE is intended as a motivational, extra-curricular activity and contest for students of members of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. The NPE is not designed for any other purpose and should not be used for assessment, placement, or proficiency testing.

  • In order to register, teachers must log-in to the AATSP website. Once logged-in, click here to access the registration page or hover over "National Portuguese Exam" from the "Program and Activities" menu on the AATSP homepage.
